Huiskees decorative pillows are produced in the Netherlands, primarily using fabrics sourced from the archives of Italian fashion houses.
Fashion houses are subject to seasonal influences, often leading to the most beautiful fabrics remaining unused. We give these high-quality designer fabrics a new life in your interior.
We do this because we believe it is unnecessary to produce new fabrics while excellent materials are lying idle elsewhere, gathering dust.

Where do the fabrics come from?
Our customers can rely on a unique selection of decorative pillows made from precious fabrics, primarily of Italian origin. The names of the prestigious brands from which we source our fabrics will never be publicly disclosed to prevent reputational damage.
We can guarantee that all our partners work according to international safety guidelines for chemicals and comply with our ethical code of conduct.
How sustainable are the decorative pillows?

How do I combine fringed decorative cushions with plain cushions?
The key to a beautiful ensemble is balance. Combine fringed decorative cushions with plain, or basic, cushions in colours that match your interior. This way, your fringed decorative cushions will become the real eye-catchers alongside your plain cushions. For example, choose decorative cushions where the colour of the fringes is reflected in the fabric of another decorative cushion to create unity.
Are there different types of fringes?
Absolutely! There are various types of fringes, each with its own look. Consider carefully what atmosphere you want to create. For example, are you aiming for a luxurious look? Then choose decorative cushions with a full fringe made of viscose. This will make your decorative cushion a real eye-catcher.
What is a full fringe?
A full fringe is determined by the width and the material from which the fringe is made. Fringe made of viscose often looks fuller than fringe made of linen or polyester, as that material is stiffer, causing the fringe to often stick straight up.
- 2 centimetres: Decorative cushions with a 2 cm fringe are considered minimalist fringes. Often, you will only see 1 cm of fringe protruding from the cushion because the other 1 cm is stitched into the seam.
- 3 centimetres: Decorative cushions with a 3 cm fringe are often slightly fuller and are considered normal fringes. Here too, often only 2 cm of fringe will protrude.
- 4 centimetres or more: Decorative cushions with a 4 cm or wider fringe are considered a full fringe. Again, you will often only see 3 cm of the fringe because 1 cm of the fringe is stitched into the seam.
Are fringed decorative cushions comfortable to lean against?
Yes, most fringed decorative cushions are comfortable and feel soft. However, it depends on the material the fringes are made from. Linen, polyester, or outdoor fringes often feel stiffer than fringes made from viscose or cotton.
